  • 2015 – U.S. Department of Education concludes two-year investigation into Concordia University Portland–HotChalk Inc. business relationship. Parties sign $1 million settlement.

  • 2018 January 19 – Concordia University Portland reverses decision to block Queer-Straight Alliance from campus.

  • 2018 February 23 – Concordia College Alabama announces it will close at the end of spring semester.

  • 2018 Summer – Charles Schlimpert retires as president of CUP; succeeded by Johnnie Driessner on interim basis.

  • 2019 January 3 – Dr. Paul J. Kim purchases CCA campus.

  • 2019 March 19 – Concordia University St. Paul purchases Central Midway Building.

  • 2019 Spring – Tom Ries retires as president of CSP.

  • 2019 July 20-25 – LCMS Convention in Tampa Bay, Fla.

  • 2019 November 21 – LCMS Board of Directors approve $9.2m in financing for CUP from Lutheran Church Extension Fund.

  • 2020 January 2 – Tom Ries starts as CUP interim president.

  • 2020 February 10 – CUP announces it will close at the end of spring semester.

  • 2021 January 29 – Concordia College New York announces it will close at the end of spring semester and sell campus to Iona College.

  • 2021 June 29 – Lutheran Church Extension Fund buys CUP campus at auction for $3 million.

  • 2021 July 22 – Iona College announces $20 million gift from NewYork-Presbyterian to establish the NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences at the former CCNY campus.
